Purpose

Self-service: add a WEB-APP license to your user account so the app enables licensed features.

Preconditions

• You are signed in to the app with your Bentley IMS (avatar popover is available)
• You have permission to manage your own licenses (standard self-service user flow).

Actions

1. Click your user avatar in the header to open the popover.
2. Click Manage License — this navigates to the Licenses page (/licenses).
3. On the Licenses page click Add New License (or Add Your First License if none exist).
4. In the dialog select:
   • Application (a list of apps may be available).
   • License Type (user / itwin are the options from the UI)
   • Period (monthly, annua, free).
   • Features: check the features you need (some features may be disabled for free license types).
5. Review the pricing summary in the dialog, then click Save Changes to create the license.

Notes

• Pricing is calculated client-side for display and a payment request will be issued from the server
• Access to features are not available until full payment is made for additional features.
• Payment may take 2-3 days to be cleared ... we are working on a faster payment method

Troubleshooting

• If the server returns permission or auth errors (401/403): verify the Authorization token and that the account is signed in.
• If a feature is disabled in the UI for the selected license type, it cannot be added for that license level.
• If creating the license fails, please use the feedback page and report issues
• If you have paid for a feature and the feature is enabled, please ensure your payment has been cleared and email -support@dotrdl.co.uk
